  1. What is a Pedorthist?
With specialized education and training in foot orthotics and footwear, Canadian Certified Pedorthists help to alleviate pain, abnormalities and debilitating conditions of the lower limbs and feet. As proud members of patients’ healthcare teams, Canadian Certified Pedorthists consult with patients based on a referral from physicians, nurse practitioners and other healthcare providers. The goal of every Canadian Certified Pedorthist is to help patients achieve and maintain proper foot care and lower limb health, and live healthy, active lives. All orthotics and or footwear modifications and custom shoes are proudly designed and manufactured by our Kelowna company! To learn more, read our blog about 'What is a Pedorthist' or follow these links to The Pedorthic Association of Canada and Canadian College of Pedorthics to better understand.
  2. What can I expect at a Pedorthic assessment?
During a Pedorthic Assessment, our Certified Pedorthist will discuss your health history, look at the shoes you are wearing, conduct a full gait analysis and biomechanical assessment then discuss with you the best treatment plan to help you Move Well, Be Well, this may include shoe recommendations, over-the-counter or custom orthotics, stretches or exercises to do, and more!

We direct bill for ICBC, Worksafe, RCMP, DVA, NIHB and The Ministry, however at this time we do not directly bill to other private medical plans. If you are looking to get services or products covered under your extended medical plan, it is best to contact your insurance provider before coming to see us in order to confirm your coverage.
