How Does Compression Therapy Work?

Compressoin therapy is the application of a controlled pressure around the leg by an elastic garment. By compressing the limb with graduated compression, strongest at the ankle and decreasing up the leg, the compression stocking helps with venous return and efficiently aids the body in moving blood up the leg against the pull of gravity.
