  1.  Healthy Footwear Choices - Feet can change shape throughout your life and many people have feet that are different sizes. You should fit shoes to the larger foot and make sure to replace them often, especially if you start to develop increased foot discomfort.
  2. Stretching - Quite often tight muscles in our lower body can impact our feet. Engaging in daily stretches can help reduce and prevent foot pain.
  3. Support - Family genetics play a role in our foot structure and contribute to people having high, medium, and low arch types. Quite often wearing supportunder our feet through custom made foot orthotics or off-the-shelf insoles can improve chronic foot, knee, hip and back discomfort. Our feet are all different and can have unique needs. If you are unsure what is contributing to your foot pain we recommend seeing a Canadian Certified Pedorthist, C. Ped (C), for a biomechanical and gait assessment.
